In another friendly on Thursday evening, Ashford used the match against newly promoted FC Deportivo Galicia to give plenty of time to those squad members who had not been over involved on Tuesday against Woking.  Ben Murray also used the match as an opportunity for one or two of last year’s Under-16 side to come on later in the game.

A fairly low key encounter saw Ashford win by three goals to one.  Deportivo were lively throughout but goals from James Cottee, Mark Bitmead and Alex Fisher saw the Tangerines through.  Deportivo scored a late goal towards the end.

On Saturday, Ashford travel to Ryman League South side, South Park FC.  They too came through the CCL ranks and have more than held their own since being elevated to Step 4, finishing in 8th place last season.  In addition they enjoyed an excellent run in the FA Trophy last season when they were only finally defeated away at Tranmere Rovers.

Kick-off is 3.00 p.m. and the address of the ground is:  Whitehall Lane, South Park, Reigate, Surrey, RH2 8LG   South Park have declared free entrance tomorrow.
