There is a change to the arrangements for Saturday.

Instead of Playing Ash United at Abbey Rangers, we shall now be playing Westfield FC at Egham Leisure Centre, kick-off 3.00 p.m.

Westfield finished in 2nd place last season in the CCL and whilst doubtless both clubs will have plenty of players on trial, it should be a decent match.  The game yesterday evening at Abbey Rangers finished one apiece.  Played over three 30 minutes periods, (although the final segment was cut short by a few minutes as it was getting too dark and there was too much lightning around), it was a very useful exercise.  Ashford had enough players to field two separate X1's and some of the potential new players looked very good indeed.  A useful Abbey side eventually took the lead in the final segment only for Mark Bitmead to equalise with a free kick which took a slight deflection but it was enough to deceive the keeper.

Ashford would like to thank Abbey for their excellent hospitality after the match.
