Ashford Town (Middlesex) Ladies lifted the Capital Women's Junior Cup with victory over Whyteleafe Ladies last Sunday at Bedfont Sports.

Holly Isaacs, Vicky James and Laura Huse scored in the convincing victory, but it was Lavana Neufville's two goals just past the hour mark which sealed the win for The Tangerines.

Isaacs latched onto Neufvilles corss to tap into an empty net with only six minutes played. Captain, James made it 2-0 ten minutes after when her rocket of a free kick rebounded in off the cross bar.

Steve Earl, the match day referee awarded a free kick again to Ashford just before halftime, this time James delivered a cross to the far post for Laura Huse to volley in. 3-0 at half time and Whyteleafe looked out of the game at this point.

H/T: 3-0

Ashford conceded a penalty early on the second half but when Lavana Neufville controlled Beth Sheehan's perfectly weighted cross, she managed to turn and finish to restore Ashford three goal deficit.

Ashford continued to drive forward with Charmaine Benham and Sheehan both forcing the goalkeeper into great saves.

F/T: 5-1

Great football from Ashford Town (Middlesex) Ladies who played very impressive football throughout. Whyteleafe were a credit to themselves demonstrating how strong a side they were by going close a number of times. We wish them luck next season and for a speedy recovery to their player who was taken in an Ambulance.
