Firstly, Epsom & Ewell FC have advised us that this evening’s match in the Cherry Red Records Premier Challenge Cup is set to go ahead, barring further heavy rainfall.

It is a 3rd Round tie and both Epsom and ourselves will be thinking that if either of us have designs upon winning this cup, it will have to be done the hard way, with the winners of the tie, which has to be settled this evening, drawn away to either Hartley Wintney or Chessington & Hook United in the quarter-finals.

Ashford will have a full strength squad to call upon, including Will Boye, who has now completed his three match suspension but whether Ben Murray will choose to rest any of his squad remains to be seen.  It is looking increasingly unlikely that we will have a match on Saturday, for the second week in a row but we are still waiting upon information from BA, who did not play their home match last week.  If by any chance they are in that situation again this week, for whatever reason, there is the possibility of a very late re-arranged match at home but this will be resolved by tomorrow at the latest.

Hopefully the conditions will not prevent a good match this evening between two teams who have both been in superlative form recently.  The address of the ground is Chipstead FC, High Road, Chipstead, CR5 3SF.  Kick-off is 7.45 p.m. and the match will go to extra time and penalties, should they be needed.
