Ashford started the game today looking a bit jaded, this was maybe down to the fine run of results they have put together over the past few weeks. Dunstable however needed a result here today and with all their early pressure it was not long before a fabulous strike from Leon Cashman found the roof of the net. Albeit the utility player should never have been given the freedom he found around the pitch in the early stages of this very close fought match. Ashford themselves came into this game with no pressure on them and themselves found the odd chance in the first half. After half time Ashfords approach was very different and Dunstable had to defend very deep at times and found it hard to venture into the home sides hallf. Some exellent Goalkeeping from both Goalkeepers was probably the highlight of the day as this game could easily have ended with 4 or 5 each, it wasn't to be but Ashford can hold their heads aloft and realise they can stand toe to toe with the big guns of the league.
